The role of women in the field of professional transfers.

Updated: Sep 6, 2023

During the 4 years that I have worked at LARM we have noticed a significant increase in women transferred to our country. For example, in 2019, 625.963 foreign women entered our country (Datosmacro, 2020).

It is very gratifying to know that women are increasingly taking a more important role within multinational companies and are taken into account for high-ranking positions within companies. We have been able to appreciate the difference between moving men versus women because of roles within the home especially when they are married and with children. The family is the main objective to be taken into account when it comes to transferring a person and especially women who are the most involved in this sense despite the fact that today men have taken more prominence within the home.

Transferred women have been able to demonstrate that they can live in another country by contributing 100% to the company’s activities, as well as within their home meeting their expectations in both areas. The companies have understood that there is no gender difference in terms of transferring one of their collaborators so the volume of women in the world of transferees is increasing. As a woman I am very proud to contribute with my work to the transferred women and to know more about their achievements.
